Bren Orton has broken his face! This is how it happened.
Check it out. Scary scenes.
A few days before MRF 2018 started we went upstream of the race course in order to explore and first descent an epic stretch of whitewater! Exploring new rivers in Kerala/ India.
Epic first day in India! We paddled the Iri Janipura river which was massive and we think it is the highest descent so far. Levels where rising on us throughout our session which made it pretty intimidating and we where all pretty stoked to be off the river at the bottom. Got into a good old cluster f**k and couldn’t find our driver, waited in the rain for a few hours before being rescued… So far India has been awesome!
Bren is back after seeing himself off.
This section of whitewater is not actually that easy, but I have done so many laps down it and I know it so well now, that in my head it is a “chill” run. If that makes anysense at all? My first time down it I was much more out of control, underwater and not anywhere near as relaxed.
Small Ripper vs The Little White
This was by far my favourite lap down the Ldub ever! Dave crushed it in the small Ripper and Kyle Hull was going off!
There are a lot of names to this trick such as the stern squirt, the squirt, the pirouette and the whooppie. But if you watch this video you are now only allowed to call it the Tailee from now on.
Dane is a genius on the water but off the water he can have his moments where I am just shaking my head. So stoked that we are the luckiest gits in the world and that this worked out!
Bren Orton shows us how to kickflip your kayak. The kick flip is awesome to do and pretty cool to watch. Get out on the river or in the surf and give this a go.
The boys hit Dinkey Creek.
We had an epic struggle to get to the river but eventually, thanks to the forest service and their chainsaw we made it and had a sick time kayaking down one of the best rivers in California if not the world!
