When I Were Young

I found this within the Unsponsored archives and thought it might be of interest. Before the changes to the Tees Barrage Whitewater course this is what the course was like. It was so long ago I had forgotten that there even was an island river left at the top of the course! Enjoy.

Northshore Watersports

Northshore Watersports is the on site shop at the Tees Barrage. They now have an Amazon based presence that allows you to spend your hard earned cash or Amazon vouchers on some of the best kit available.

Block Moving – Tees Barrage April 22nd

Today (22nd April 2012) was the third opportunity to move the blocks on the short course. The aim of today was the collection of data to enter into and verify a computer based model. Ultimately it is hoped that the model will allow different scenarios to be tested without the need for the heavy lifting.

A small crew of five shifted the blocks today.

Tees Barrage International WW Course – Today We Built A Monster

It was -3 deg C when I left home at 9am to head down to the Tees Barrage International Whitewater Course, as today was the second chance to move around some of the blocks on the short course. After three hours of work the resulting block structure was a bit of a monster!

Teesside today – Low/High water flow

This video was taken today with low water and high water flow. The low water flow was similar to around 7-8 cumecs on the old course, two screws were working at this point.
