Some great images from Sean Gadget Lynn from this weekends Galwayfest. Galwayfest is a weekend long whitewater kayaking event held in the Galway area of Ireland. It was started by two NUIG members, Andrew Regan and Barry Loughnane back in 2012. It has become a huge event with kayakers travel from throughout Ireland, Europe and the UK to take part.

The event involves two competitions; a freestyle kayaking competition held at either Clifden or Tuam and a whitewater race held on the Boluisce river. Sean’s images come from the whitewater race held on the Boluisce river. Continue reading
