Big Wave Kayaking – 2018 Stakeout Moments
Check out some raw GoPro moments from the 2018 high water spring melt stakeout season with Nick Troutman and crew.
Myself (not me but Bren Orton) and Adrian are currently living in an African village… next to one of the best big waves in the world.
There are lots of great parts to living in the village from the friendly neighbours, stoked kids, pets and cost of living but the best part is how close we are to the legendary Nile Special wave.
Check out the video to see more.
Montreal Eau Vive is a very slick edit from Nick Troutman. Filmed entirely with GoPro cameras and the GoPro Karma.
Bren Orton Stakeout 2016. Bren has been let loose in the Canadian wilderness for 6 weeks to surf some of the biggest and best river waves in the world. Huge tricks, new combos and some epic wipe outs.
Zak Dunnings takes full advantage of high summer water levels.
A friend of mine and I were discussing paddling in Wales last Sunday. He described it as the best best place in world to paddle. Given that he has paddled the world over that is not a throw away statement.
This edit from Luke Farmer gives just a small glimpse of what Wet And Wild Wales has to offer the whitewater paddler.
This is a video shot by Drone Box, the Jackson kayak team and friends.
It shows the “Hawaii sur Rhone” wave in Lyon like you’ve never seen it!
As camera drone technology becomes that little more wide spread we are starting to see more and more kayak related footage that has been taken with the aid of a drone.
This edit from Bad Productions Kayaking/Leif Anderson uses a drone well to create a number of interesting shooting angles.
Searching for the Gee spot is a video that had a great influence on my freestyle paddling and encouraged me to spend lots of time getting the moves right on flatwater before progressing on to the moving stuff. Corran Addison has kindly given persmisson for Searching For The Gee Spot to be shared online via Unsponsored. Enjoy.
The quality of the video is a little bit sketchy but it is exactly the same as the VHS tape that I have.
