2015 was another year for the books. Can’t enough about the good times I had with all the good people who were along for that wild ride. Every shot in this video is from 2015 and graciously filmed by: Fred Norquist, Josh Neilson, Ryan Lucas, Aniol Serrasolses, and Edward Mudridge.
Last year we had a custom carbon pole made by our friends over at Vertical Element Paddles. Essentially we wanted a light weight and adjustable camera boom that would work with the GoPro range of cameras. VE came up with the goods.
Team Unsponsored had a few hours at Low Force on the River Tees today. As ROHO were having a demo day there was a very good chance that there would be a good number of boaters.
I’ve been working on trying to take photos and not having to crop, or adjust the image in any kind of way. I’ve also been trying frame some of the shots in a slightly different way. I’m quite pleased with the way in which these have turned out.
A great edit of the Middle Tule from the guys at Prijon (USA). If you haven’t tried a Prijon whitewater kayak you are missing out.
A tough class V run at high flows, the Middle Fork of the Tule is a very flow dependant run! Here at low flows it’s much friendlier.
Ten Waterfalls for Macmillan follows Richard Brinkmann on his quest to raise funds for a new Cancer research centre in Brighton. Well worth a watch and a great cause.
Nelihue is another great edit from Chris Baer. This edit shows that despite how great our sport is there is always a chance that something may go wrong. When it does wrong you need to have a good team around you.
Aeon Russo, Mark Taylor, and Chris Baer spending some time at Salto del Nelihue. Aeon has a great line, and Chris looses his paddle forcing him into the cave.
Good friend of Unsponsored, Sam Ellis hit the River Swale a couple of days ago. Levels were good as were the lines.
The River Swale sits within Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is an awesome river in stunning surroundings. When it goes it has to be one of the best waterfall runs in the UK. So here we have it Sam Ellis – River Swale Dec 15. Lots of drops and a swim along the way.
This one is well worth a watch to the very end.
The Chelan Gorge in Washington looks like a seriously fun run. Plenty of nice drops, rock slides and places to watch the carnage.
The 0.4 mile long gorge is grade V-V+ with the crux move being Final Plunge at Entrance Exam.
Nowhere To Land is a short clip from the guys at Wookscat showing the most intimidating of the drops on the Pigeon Dries in Western NC. It is well worth the watch. Enjoy!

A superb trip for the Demshitz. Plenty of water and plenty of action on Stoney creek and Raymondskill creek.
